Pardon me
Apologies for the massive delay in postings! I've been busy visiting my family, and haven't gotten around to posting. Work is on it's way though, I've replenished my material supply and have quite a few ideas buzzing around!

Twisted Towel
Inspiration rooting from the as-seen-on-TV Turbie Twist, I cut up an old towel and stitched it in a teardrop shape to create an oh so absorbent hair towel of my own. Adding an elastic for an easy clasp in the back and embellishing with applique on the side, it makes a mighty fine shower turban.

Sweet 'n Simple
More valance style curtains. This time for the living room, a matching set out of material that only cost me $2.38 total for almost two yards. Sweet deal. A mellow pattern that will hopefully pop with a new coat of paint on the walls, gold perhaps.
Scratch and Stitch
It's been a little while since the last time I posted, but that doesn't mean I haven't been hard at work. I made this dress without a pattern or prototype. Just pinned material where I thought it should be, and cut away. It was completely a 'trial and error' process. I began with the side zipper hidden on the left and ended with the detailing of a sweet-heart neck line. Much time went into this dress, even though it only took two days. It definitely has it's quirks and imperfections, but its nice to be wearing something completely from scratch.

Card Kick
So I guess you could say I'm on a bit of a card-kick at the moment. I enjoyed making the welcome back card so much, I decided to make a few more blank cards. This time with thank you's and thinking of you's. I stitched the designs and first letters of the words, then inked the rest of the text. Selling them tonight at the First Friday Art Walk in Portland. Fingers crossed for successful selling!
