Finished Feet

Crochet booties, acrylic yarn.  Made these as an experiment, came out surprisingly successful.   Not too shabby for no pattern.

Coming Soon

        I'm making booties!

String Thing

Multiple plate intaglio print.

Silk screen layered underneath intaglio printing.

Notice the intaglio ink texture on top of the silk screen.

Not Sewn Silkscreen String

More compositions, this time without the thread sewn on.

Sol Aborigen

A silk screened record sleeve.  I screened the old sleeve solid yellow then added my design layer by layer using transparent inks.

Sugar Lift

Experimenting with techniques here, these patterns were created using sugar lift and hard ground in intaglio printing.

exercise 2 (12"x17")

This plate was printed on fabric as well and turned into an additional piece I will document and post soon!

Cup Circles

My mason jar always leaks water, and leaves a mark on every surface it touches.  I used this familiar visual to create a set of embossments and an addition of inked prints.  Using a copper plate and intaglio methods I experimented with hard ground and oil to create the marks etched by the acid.  They were deep enough to emboss with.

10:27 a.m.

Part of a print portfolio for my Intaglio class.  The theme to this portfolio was "10:27 a.m."  I used a soft ground on the copper to simulate the sheets of my bed. This relates to the theme because I am usually only in my bed at 10:27 a.m. one day a week; the other six days I am in school, making prints.  The bottom half is sewn kozo paper that I wrote on with ink.
The air is cold, but the sheets are warm.

Stairs

Intaglio dry point etching in 7"x9" copper plate.

Update Nation

Now that the semester has come to an end I have finally caught up on documenting my work.  And here it is.

Interiors of a home, I focused on the quirks and flaws of very personal rooms.  Completely made of fabric and both hand and machine sewn.  Approximately 12"x 18".
