This is my semester in heaven, I have both a silk screening class, and an intaglio class, so its pretty much print all the time. With intaglio, it's an oil based ink that gets pushed into grooves in the plate. Our first assignment for the class was a dry point, drawing right into the copper plate. I got to experiment with an electric etcher, it made some interesting lines and was super easy to use.
My sketch is of the entrance to my house. I drew it correctly in the plate, not thinking that when I print it, it will be a mirror image. I'm okay with that though, the composition works either way but I'm still working on the plate itself. Will add more as the printing continues!
